Educated at McGill University (B.A. (Honours Economics), LL.B., B.C.L.) and the University of Toronto (M.A. (Economics)). Called to the Bar of Quebec and the Law Society of Upper Canada. Immediately prior to his appointment, Senior Deputy Commissioner of Competition of the Competition Bureau. Former Counsel, Department of Justice, notably in the Constitutional, Administrative and International Law Section, Tax Litigation Section, and Tax Counsel Division at the Department of Finance. Appointed Judge of the Tax Court of Canada on December 15, 2006.
