Educated at Université de Sherbrooke (B.C.L. 1981, LL.M. Tax Law 1986).  Admitted to the Bar of Quebec 1985. Associate and Partner Stikeman Elliott LLP (1985-2008). Prior to his appointment developed an expertise in corporate taxation including corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds, cross border financing, derivative products, partnerships, trusts and international taxation, member of the Management Committee of Stikeman Elliott, recognized in numerous legal publications as a leading tax practitioner. Appointed Judge of the Tax Court of Canada on March 3, 2008.
