Educated at University of Prince Edward Island (B.A. 1972), University of New Brunswick (LL.B. 1975) and Harvard Law School (LL.M. 1976). Called to the Bar of Prince Edward Island 1976. Appointed Queen’s Counsel 1998. Prior to her appointment, general legal practice in Prince Edward Island (1991-2000) focusing on business, commercial, estates and real estate law, member of the Discipline Committee of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island. Trained in mediation and conflict resolution. Member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges. Appointed Judge of the Tax Court of Canada on May 11, 2000.
