Born July 8, 1932, in Montreal, Quebec. Attended McGill University and obtained B.A. and B.C.L. degrees. Called to the Quebec Bar in 1957. Awarded the “Paris” medal in 1957 by the Batonnier of the Paris Bar for having obtained the highest marks in Civil Law in the Quebec Bar exams. Practiced law in Montreal from 1957 until April 1982 when he was appointed to the Quebec Superior Court where he presided in Montreal, Sherbrooke and the District of Hull until July 2007.
